We have been promising Claremarie that we would take her skating for the longest time and so on the last day of Sam's vacation we finally got her to the rink. Neither of us were going to skate, but Sam thought it looked like too much fun so he paid the $8.50 and got on skates for the first time in about 25 years. Claremarie did awesome. Camden does great on the carpet but is not quite ready for the big rink yet. The video is pretty funny but I do apologize in advance for the darkness and for the sideways viewing. I didn't know that you can't rotate a video on my camera and I took it the wrong way. However, it really is worth turning your head to watch!!
Why aren't there more skating rinks around? This place was pretty expensive but it was also good, family fun. I have so many fond memories of going skating when I was growing up: stealing combs out of other kids' pockets, the couples skate, blisters on my feet.......

He is Risen.....He is Risen Indeed!!!!!
This morning I was listening to this song and the words spoke to me. It is a song of hope and promise and praise, exactly what I think Easter is all about. I am going to put the lyrics here but it really is more powerful if you listen to it as you read them. If you would like to hear the song please click on the link in the side bar.
Have a Blessed Easter!
HOSANNA by Paul Baloche
Praises rising
Eyes are turning to you
We turn to YOU
Hope is stirring
Hearts are yearning for YOU
We long for YOU
Cause when we see YOU
We find strength to face the day
In your presence
All our fears are washed away
Hosanna Hosanna
YOU are the God who saves us
Worthy of all our praises
Hosanna Hosanna
Come have your way among us
We welcome you here Lord Jesus
Hear the sound of hearts returning to YOU
We turn to YOU
In your kingdom broken lives are made new
You make us new
Cause when we see you we find strength to face the day
In your presence
All our fears are washed away
Hosanna Hosanna
YOU are the God who saves us
Worthy of all our praises
Hosanna Hosanna
Come have your way among us
We welcome you here LORD JESUS

Monday Morning
I'm taking a break from one of my least favorite tasks in the world......sorting toys in our basement, which is basically just a big playroom. I know some of you intellectuals will be saying in a sarcastic tone, "Wow! This is a really interesting post Sher." But I also know a lot of you will be empathizing with me all day, wondering if I've finished sorting blocks from pretend food from little people from cars. Why oh why did we buy a 300 piece fake food set? Why did we buy a Thomas the Train ball pit with hundreds of balls? How can I get half of this junk up to the trash can without any children noticing???? Hope you are having a more exciting Monday than me!!!

FRIDAY AFTERNOON
On Friday afternoon, when it was time to go and pick up Claremarie, I called for Camden to come up from the basement where I thought he was playing. He didn't come up which usually means that he is doing something he shouldn't be or that he has fallen asleep. I went down to get him and I couldn't find him anywhere. All of the usual hiding places were empty. He wasn't laying on the bed or in the chair asleep. I was standing in the middle of the basement trying to decide where to look and while I was doing that I decided to put Geordi in his kennel. As I bent down to open the door, I noticed a tuft of blond hair. Camden was curled up in a ball, fast asleep, in Geordi's kennel. Sorry I don't have a picture of it. I laughed so hard that I woke him up. His explanation of why he crawled in the kennel was that he needed a warm place to sleep.
