5 QUESTION FRIDAY

Better late than never....

1. Would you let your 16 year old sail around the world by his/herself?

2. What is one cartoon, as a parent, that you CAN stand to watch?

3. What is your favorite morning show?

4. What is your pet peeve in traffic?

5. What is the best thing about the Huskers moving to the Big 10?

My Answers:

1. Perhaps......strangely I can see both sides of the issue.
2. I actually would possibly stop and watch either Arthur or Phineas and Ferb even if my kids weren't home.
3. I used to really like Regis and Kelly but now we can't get that show in Omaha....stupid KMTV!
4. Watching other people text while they are driving....I sometimes talk on the phone but I do not text!!
5. Beating Texas at their own game!!!

1. Sounds like their family is full of adventurers (Brother sailed around the world last year at age 17). They have the means and the kids know what they are doing. I'd consider it...maybe...but not sure I could actually let go.
2. Phineas & Ferb---or Kim Possible(I miss that show!)
I also find certain episodes of Curious George to be entertaining. They have a batch of writers who put in so many double meaning items for adults that it cracks me up.
3. Silence? Don't really watch anything not kid-related. If I need some news or weather, I go to GMA. Enjoy Rachel Ray on occasion, but I'd prefer TV off. Give me a book instead.
4. Texting while driving. How stupid can you be?
5. I'm undecided about the whole thing. Don't understand enough of the nuances. I'm sad the games will be farther away, but glad that we won't be beating out our own for championship games.

1. NO - couldn't do it.
2. Phineas and Ferb - they are the best thing since Pinky and the Brain.
3. I too enjoy Regis and Kelly and agree - stupid KMTV!. Sometimes I watch host chat online.
4. Smelling the cigarette smoke from the car by me at a light - with my windows up! Close second, vibrating and unable to hear because the car next to me has such an awesome sound system. Wait, maybe it's when I've gone the wrong way and am trying to think and my kids say things like "Didn't we just go this way?" or "Did you mean to do that?"
5. I now know there is a Big 10 and a Pac 10???

1. absolutely not. not just for the danger but that is a year of their life you are missing out on.

2. Phineas and Ferb, Scooby Doo

3. ESPN Sports Center

4. People who stop to let people out in front of them. They think they are doing such a good, nice thing but they are really screwing up the natural flow of traffic and also can sometimes make it a very dangerous situation.

5. Finally after spending 6 years in Big Ten country and years and years of boasting, we can finally see if we really would kick the Big Tens rear in football. Also how fun will the 2011-12 National Championship game between Nebraska and Texas be?

3. Fox and Friends (sometimes)
4. under speed limit in left lane
5. NOTHING GOOD can come from this. I'm a Buckeye born and raised but an equal opportunity Husker fan for my hubby....I'm distraught!!!!

1. No.
2. Spongebob
3.Hate them all, they are all stupid chatter. Will watch HGTV or TLC
4. Having someone talk on the phone while turning the corner while I am stopped at that corner stoplight or stopsign. They always swing my way! Also, people waving for me to go when they are the one who is supposed to go. I just heard that this can be an insurance scam.

5. Think is great. Now we can play with the "big boys" and don't have to have Texas bossing us around. Also, you know it isn't just for sports reasons, don't you?????
